As the road cycling advocacy group for Jefferson County cyclists, Bike Jeffco has been involved in improving road cycling conditions in and around the County since 1998. We were instrumental in getting shoulders in Deer Creek Canyon and on Squaw Pass Road. We successfully lobbied CDOT to repave the damaged sections of the C-470 trail. We worked with RTD on the West Line bikeway.
However, there is still much work to be done.
We’d like to invite you (and any friends who may be interested) to a special Bike Jeffco evening Tuesday November 11th at the Jefferson County Administration building, 100 Jefferson County Parkway (aka the ‘Taj’) in Golden to become better acquainted with our work. A breadcrumb trail from the building entrance will lead you to our meeting room 1566/1567.
We have the following planned.
6:15pm – 7:00pm A special ‘Get to know Bike Jeffco’ meeting where we will introduce ourselves and describe the current projects on which we are working. Each attendee will receive a free water bottle.
7:00pm – 9:00pm Regular monthly Bike Jeffco meeting to update current projects and discuss potential new projects. This month’s special topic will be to identify the missing gaps in our foothills network of rides. This will be a chance to air your concerns and suggestions.
Our successes to date are the result of the work of our members. We’d like you to join us.
